Rockcity began its journey in 1994 as one of the UK's pioneering community indoor climbing centres, transforming countless young lives and redefining what's possible in climbing for three decades. Boasting some of the most iconic and cutting-edge climbing facilities in the world. Rockcity offers diverse climbing experiences, including roped climbing, dedicated adult and family bouldering areas, and a state-of-the-art competition zone. We offer climbing adventures for all ages, featuring themed family-friendly rooms for kids 2-13 and ROCK-IT sessions for ages 7-17 and adults. Fully guided and beginner-friendly, ROCK-IT bridges the gap between playful climbing and real challenges in a supervised environment, ensuring safe and exciting experiences for everyone.

DO I NEED TO BOOK IN?
Yes, bookings are mandatory for entry to ensure we can accommodate everyone safely and efficiently. Please make your booking online before your arrival to secure your spot. Additionally, ensure that all waivers are completed and up to date prior to your visit. Taking this step helps us provide a smooth and enjoyable experience for all customers.
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO DO A NEW WAIVER?
Waivers must be renewed annually. If you're unsure whether it has been over a year, please complete a new form before arrival to streamline the check-in process.
CAN I DO ROPES?
Ropes and auto-belay systems are available only to competent climbers who can correctly tie in, wear a harness properly, and demonstrate belaying skills.
A belay competency test must be completed before you are permitted to use the ropes.
DO YOU HAVE A PLACE FOR KIDS?
Yes, Family bouldering is in a separate section to the adult bouldering featuring The Loft, The Space Room and The Castle Room.
DO I NEED TO PAY TO WATCH/SUPERVISE MY CHILDREN?
Family bouldering is offered at a discounted rate as part of a group package for you and your child/children to enjoy the climbing areas together.
To help ensure a seamless check-in process, we kindly ask that you complete and update waivers for yourself and any accompanying child/children prior to your arrival. Thank you for your cooperation!
HOW LONG IS THE SESSION?
The session is a day pass, but for family bouldering, it is limited to 2 hours. You are welcome to come and go as needed during the session.
DO YOU STILL HAVE A SKATE PARK?
The skate park and skate shop are no longer in operation, but we still have some remaining stock available.
WHAT ARE YOUR QUIET TIMES?
As we don’t have time slots, busy periods can vary, but normally the centre is quietest between 9:30AM - 5PM Monday - Friday.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE?
Family bouldering is available for children starting at age 2. To use the ropes, participants must be at least 7 years old and supervised by a parent or guardian. Anyone under 18 must have adult supervision when using the ropes, and only those 14 and older can access the adult bouldering areas without supervision.
Children under 2 are not permitted in the climbing area.
