ROPED CLIMBING

Roped climbing zones offer the thrill of scaling tall walls through different disciplines suited to various skill levels. Top ropes provide a safe and accessible option with pre-set ropes, ideal for both beginners and experienced climbers. Lead climbing challenges advanced climbers to bring their own rope and set anchors during the ascent, while auto belays offer an automated system that ensures a secure climb for individuals without a belay partner. These zones create a diverse and rewarding climbing experience for all.

TOP ROPE

THE STEPPED WALL

The quarry-style face, characterized by natural seams, forms a series of short overhanging roofs that introduce an interesting contrast to the easy-angled slabs. This variation provides opportunities for sections requiring more technical movement.

TOP ROPE

THE V-WALL

A large rocky slab face with a prominent V-shaped stepped roof at its center, resembling a massive section of rock that appears to have fractured and shifted ages ago. The varied angles of the slab provide a mix of technical challenges, while the stepped roof offers opportunities for dynamic movement and creative climbing.

THE GREY SLAB

This main slab features a very easily angled. The grey wall includes a distinct arête and a vertical section that offers variety. Positioned directly opposite the T'Rad Wall, it provides a well-rounded climbing experience for all skill levels.

THE ARÊTE WALL

Our biggest, single arête (corner) in the climbing centre.  Sustained 'barn doors' all the way.  There are two great faces either side, one is vertical the other is a slab.

TOP ROPE

THE SHARD

A long, knife-like blade pointing to the sky, not the iconic building in London, but a striking, steep slab wall. The climb features sustained, technical movements with small, precise holds, testing both balance and footwork. With its bold, exposed lines, it offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for climbers looking to push their limits.

LEAD ROPE

LEAD ROPE

TSUNAMI

Like a massive barrel wave breaking above your head, the wall starts with a moderate incline and gradually steepens as you climb. The moves become more powerful and demanding, leading to an exposed, challenging finish at the top.

LEAD ROPE

4 DEGREES

Four separate angles of lead wall in different degrees of overhanging terrain.

LEAD ROPE

T'RAD

This wall used to be trad protected, later it was retro bolted and now has the most realistic feel in the entire centre.  Climb on the routes set using climbing holds or try the features only lines that have stood the test of time and have been the right of passage for many a Rockcity youth.
