The Rockcity Pro Wall Comp Finish system includes all the components to build a fully smooth ‘Competition Wall’ style surface to your climbing wall or volumes, using a base colour that is colour matched to your top SHIELD coat, building a completely solid coloured system that will not give up its true colour over the years, all with dirt and rubber resisting SHIELD coat.

A system we developed for training boards where friction isn’t needed.  Then used by a french boulder gym that didn’t want any texture.  The result they say is – ‘génial’

The BASE coat is applied twice to guarantee an even smooth finish that is harder wearing followed by a coat of our clear SHIELD.

If you want to source your own grit locally then this is the system for you.  You can choose to buy your own pure white sand,  This is good if you have strong bright colours, white, red, yellow etc.  If you are using a dark colour, greys or black you can use or a traditional clearish beige/silver sand.

Please note a smooth finish will attract more ‘skid marks’ from black climbing shoes.  Without friction then shoes will slide further.  Not a problem, these marks can be washed and wiped off as the SHIELD coat resists all chemical attacks so the black gum doesn’t penetrate the surface of the painted wall.
